The current system is trying to be way too complex when it doesn’t need to be. Defensive modifiers should be +armor, +resistances, %damage reduction, +life, etc. In my opinion it needs to be simplified – offensive modifiers should be reduced to the following: +stats, +skills, +crit chance, +lucky hit chance, +vulnerable damage and +crit damage. There are way too many damage modifiers / damage reduction modifiers that can roll on items. ![]() Here are some of the issues I have with the current loot system: A big part of that answer is the itemization. In my opinion, they need to take a good hard look at D2 and understand what made it such a beloved game that people keep going back to 20+ years later.
